“ An officer at the SCID however confirmed the release. He added that he did not know why Fireman was released, “I do not know why he was released. We just got a directive from above that he should be released on bail.”

I agree that some offence are bail able but why not grant bail because of his legal rights and not because one "oga at the top" gave a directive. When will we see Police investigation and prosecution unhindered by undue interference?
