Shaku Shaku Dance in the Church

I was in a church one day, and I had to excuse myself.

We had two services, the first service just ended and I decided to stay for the second service. The praise and worship started, and I was lost. Am I in the church or club? I asked myself. Come and see different dancing steps. The guy beside me was dancing like a chicken with coccidiosis, with his neck twisting. The atmosphere was uncomfortable for me, I couldn't feel his presence I had to leave.
The only difference between the church and club that Sunday was the disco light.

The first day I saw the way people danced "shaku shaku", the first thing that came to my mind was shackles shackles.

If you observed the dance very well, and you followed the movement of their hands, it looked like someone tied with shackles dancing.

I really didn't need any prophet to tell me the dance was not for believers because as a believer you are saved from the shackles of sin and death.

But the church of today copies everything the world does. The World doesn't need to sneak into the church again, believers are the ones practically bringing the world inside the church.

We sing worldly music in the church and justify it by changing the lyrics or adding Jesus' name to it.
You hear "yahooze" for Jesus, "Awilo" for Jesus, "doro-Jesus", "Shaku-shaku" for Jesus.

Does it even make any sense at all? We have so trivialized Jesus' name, the name that is the most powerful.

Adding the name of Jesus to worldliness is an insult and it will not turn such worldliness to holiness.

Instead of the world to copy the church, it has been the other way round.

Some even justify dancing Shaku-shaku and other worldly dance by saying "Did we know the kind of dance that David danced?"
David a man after God's heart will not dance the dance of baal to glorify the Almighty God. He is a man full of the Holy Spirit, who can discern what is right or wrong, unlike some believers.

We live in a generation where we are not spiritually sensitive.

The generation of 'It doesn't matter' Christians.

The generation of Christians that think they can win souls by allowing worldliness in the church.

The generation of Christians that are ignorant of the devices of the devil.

2Corinthian 6:17
"Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE," says the Lord. "AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN; And I will welcome you.

Ephesians 5:11
Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them;

Matthew5:14
You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden

Darkness is the absence of light, the reason why this world is still in darkness is because the believers that are meant to shine the light have joined the darkness.

Separate yourself from among them!
And shine as light!
